Our Mission

The mission of the Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch Alumni Association is to provide a professional network of former ranchers who seek to carry on the spirit of family through fellowship, association and support.

Why?

More than 7,000 young men and women have lived at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or Girls Town, USA. Many who grew up at the ranch were there because they had little or no family support – for them Boys Ranch was home and family. Ranchers went to school together, church together, lived in the same dorms, had all meals and attended all functions together. We became an extended family of brothers and sisters. After graduation or leaving the ranch, we are on our own and need to take action on the positive life skills learned during our stay.

For some, the CFBRAA is the extended family ex-ranchers may need. Graduating from high school does not bring to an end the need for family support. Our association seeks to carry on the dream of Cal and Mimi Farley by providing the spirit of family.

Fellowship and association are important to the CFBRAA because they keep us connected. Reunions, forums, website communications, local chapters, newsletters and data record management help us stay in touch. Our connection makes our organization readily able to assist a former rancher in time of need. With shared experiences, success and failures, with scholarships for our children and with assistance in times of special need, we seek to support our growing, and extended, family.

Cal and Mimi Farley had a vision for young people who needed the resources that a family was designed to provide. We have been enriched and blessed by their passion.

Our mission is to carry on their work -- to be a network of former ranchers who serve.
